<p>On the college board website, it stated that you need somewhere between an 113-180 on the ap us exam to get a 5. But that number is a composite score. Can anyone tell me how to convert your MC raw score and essay score to a composite score? </p>
<p>P.S- Does anyone know anything about the curve and the grading on the ap art history exam...</p>

<h1>correct - 0.25 x # incorrect = raw score</h1>
<p>For the essays:</p>
<p>DBQ (/15) + Essay 1 (/9) + Essay 2 (/9) = raw score</p>
<p>Composite score:</p>
<p>1.13 x Raw MC score = Weighted MC score (unrounded)</p>
<p>2.73 x Raw Essay score = Weighted Essay score (unrounded)</p>
<p>Weighted MC score + Weighted Essay score = Final composite score (rounded)</p>
<p>Ranges</p>
<p>5 = 114-180
4 = 91-113
3 = 74-90
2 = 49-73
1 = 0-48</p>

<p>PS If you do well on the MC, it seems to be nearly a guaranteed 5. For example, with a raw score of about 68 on the MC, you only need half of the available Essay points in order to get a 5.</p>
