I heard they are good...
they do well in ACM's competitions...
rank. top 40...I think it's 30 something.
others, I don't really know much...
I'm going there for computer science :)

awww i want to switch my major to comp science. I dont know if there will be any space for me to do it now that I see some people have already chosen it.

We are currently ranked 15th in the country I believe, and seeing as we are probably the cheapest of those 15, I would say SBU is a great place for NY comp sci majors. The professors are good, but some do not speak English, so you might have trouble understanding them. We learn a lot though.

Professor Tashbook is probably my favorite and he is an amazing professor, I would recommend him to anyone wanting to go into this field, but he doesn't always teach the classes offered though.
No idea about the honors program though.

The sports life is good, I'm on the Track and Field team here, so if you have any sports related questions you can pm me or ask here.

Greek life is pretty active here, some are better than others, some you want to stay away from, it's not as big here as in other colleges though.

If you are going here to play sports I would recommend not joining a Fraternity/Sorority. There is not enough time, and the coaches do not like their athletes joining, at least some coaches I know don't.

Ak you can switch, but you cannot get accepted into the program until you are a junior anyways...
