How the SAT is scored

Hello! Can anybody tell me if it would be easier to take the SATs elsewhere than it were to take it in a country?

Coming from Singapore, there is a relatively small candidature and only the brightest take it. This means that 4 wrong on the Math section translates into a 720.

The Collegeboard site says that the test is scored based on your National stats. So I'm presuming that is why it's so hard to score well here.

Is this true? Or is everywhere else like this too?

A 720 for 4 wrong seems about right in the US too. Every question wrong is approximately 20 points, depending in the particular exam.
