How they convert CPI(indian system) to GPA(U.S. system) ?

NO one answered me this question....
I want to know that during graduate admissions you should have High GPA...
So I want to keep my CPI as high as possible to get higher GPA...& maximum chance...
Anybody can throw Light...?

Can you share your marks, I could calculate it for you.

A bit of googling tells me that CPI is like CGPA(?)

Anyway, unless the university specifically asks you to convert your CPI to a GPA (like Georgia Tech), I’d strongly advise against doing it.

^as tizil said.
US Universities know Indian Grading System.
They also know facilities available to us in India, regarding ECs, so they judge accordingly.

my B.Sc marks is 70.15% and 7.8 in IIT system. could you calculate my gpa?

my B.Sc marks is 70.15% and M.Sc cpi 7.8.can you calculate gpa equivalent of my marks?
