How to Afford Tisch?

It has been a life long dream of mine to go to Tisch; needless to say, I was thrilled when I received the early notification email a week or so ago. My parents and I focused on just applying to different colleges first; now we’re faced with the reality of NYU’s tuition: 52,000 (on Tisch’s website it claims 57k.
My parents make about 90k combined; we have and EFC of 08321; we are Caucasian with essentially no minority standing. Furthermore (and please don’t chide me for this; I know it is my fault) I have a slim chance at most scholarships; my grades are only mediocre; mostly B’s and C’s and even one D (I’m really bad at math :P), however, I do have a 34 ACT and 2380 SAT. (Not like that even matters for scholarships.)
My question is this: How do, did, or will, you, current, future, or past undergraduates of NYU afford it? What is a reasonable amount of loans to take out? I have not received any financial aid info yet; it’s mailed today, but I’m expecting it to be pretty dismal. How does one afford Tisch?
Also, does any one know of any writing-based scholarships? I’ve researched online but they all seem to be state-specific (and not mine; Oregon).
I know that it is a very rel possibility that I just have to say no to Tisch, but that would just be crushing for me. I really hope there’s someway to attend.
Thanks in advance, and I really appreciate you reading this enormous post!
