I'm a junior in my spring semester and know that that's when most students first take the SAT. But how do I sign up to take it? I thought the school would say something to all students like it was the FCAT, but I guess not. So, what do I do? Do I sign up online or something? I live in FL btw
And, should I take the ACT too? Will it help me? Are there any schools that require both test scores? (I really want to go to UF, University of Florida).

Next year I'm a senior and I'm going to take AP Calculus AB and BC. Should I take the AB Calc AP exam BEFORE applying to colleges? I really want to go to UF, and the best chance I can get. I'd be applying in the Fall of course, along with other colleges, and it might help to have my AP scores by then. I could self study during the summer to be prepared for to take the exam part way through the course, or is this just unreasonable? I haven't taken AP classes (i'm dual-enrolled taking classes at a community college, but I heard that universities don't weight that very well), and I'm a little afraid of hurting my chances to get into the college I really want to go to.

You sign up on Collegeboard for the SAT and ACT.org for the other. UF requires either but it’s best to take both to see which you are better at. They will consider the best scores.

I don’t think AP scores really matter for UF. I still have to send like 5 scores from Sophomore and Junior years, and Senior year as well. Many people take Calculus as seniors so I wouldn’t worry about that. Just keep your grades up and take many AP classes.

Dual Enrollment is good. Just don’t overload and take 60 credits or you’ll be a transfer student. DE boosts your GPA but be careful and try to get a 4.0 at the community college! Hope this helps!

First off, i never knew you can take AP exams before the given dates (the month of May). I like to believe the college board gives the exams to everyone on the same day so they can have validity in their system.
I don’t think UF really factors AP scores into admission decisions. As long as the admissions office can see that you are challenging yourself in taking “rigorous” courses, which shows up on the transcripts that you will have to send them, then you have nothing to worry about.

So, don’t worry about the AP exams when deciding when to apply for college. You should at least start looking at colleges apps during the summer of your junior year (which is your upcoming summer). Do not be like me and procrastinate on your apps (sent mine in like 6 hours before due date)!! UF is usually due in November but you can send it in as early as July.
