I need help! I am taking the sat (1st time) in 2 months (jan) and I need to get a 750+ CR score!
I miss around 0-2 SC during the fill in the blank each CR section, but my Reading Comprehension is killing me!

I got the Barrons CR book, how else can I prepare!?? (I am also going to finish the blue book by Jan - haven't started lol)

I didn’t score a 750, but had I taken it again, I probably would have if my upward trend of scoring continued. You can’t stress.

What you really need to do, especially for critical reading, is read the questions FIRST. Then go through the passage, and underline things that jump out at you (utilization of compositional risks, ethos, pathos, logos, etc, etc). I found that breaking up the passage into sections (4-6 depending on the length of the passage) and focusing on each section at a time really helped me find things like that. I ended up with a 690 in CR, but when I took another practice test I ended up with a 740. (I’m not in a place financially where i can afford to take the SAT again, or resend any score reports).

Just don’t stress, and don’t make stupid mistakes. Make sure you REREAD the passage if you have time.
