<p>All schools do it differently. The old way was to just give 4.0 to all As, 3.0 to all Bs, etc. and then divide by classes. My school actually now has a numerical value for almost every possible numerical grade (sure makes it more difficult to calculate GPA by hand lol). You could probably check your school handbook to see how they do it.</p>
<p>Some colleges (ex. Penn State, I think) actually take out "non-academics" and recalculate GPA. But in HS, I think that they include everything.</p>
