.................? thanks much much.

Google for like "Berkeley DC++" .. and open the Geocities page about it.. I think its like the second search result... That has a detailed step-by-step instructions..

Unfortunately the Off-Campus Hub is down...indefinitely. Sucks for me.

On campus IP is: caldchub.no-ip.com

Use the Quick Connect feature in DC.

mm ya i know the on campus one, but im off campus this year ! that stinks. but i guess having an off campus hub isn't exactly secure...

Go to software.berkeley.edu, download Cisco VPN software. Connect to the campus network with full tunneling and you can connect to the on-campus hub from anywhere.

You the man, eudean. I would love you but we're both guys...so I guess it would be platonic love.

yo, it still doesn't work for me, even with VPN full tunneling. it says:

<-CALDCHub-> YnHub version: 1.033 produced by Yoshi and Nev.
<-CORE-> Current user count: 44 after 1:06:11:38 uptime
<-CORE-> Current sharesize is: 1.87 TiB
<-CALDCHub-> Your ISP/IP isn't allowed on this hub, allowed ISPs are: UCB
*** Disconnected

How do i fix this?

I'm using Airbears and DC++ won't let me log on. I get the same message that calkid is having.

i tried that eudean, but it still says "unknown adress" when i try to connect, and cuts off my internet connection when i connect through the vpn

Things may have changed in the past year (note, my reply was made in Sept. of 2006). I've heard of others having issues, but I haven't used DC++ in quite some time so I can't really offer much help. It should still work through Airbears, so if you have a laptop you can still download whatever you want.

If you connect with VPN full tunnel to "caldchub.no-ip.biz" it should work; at least, I can get into the hub, My problem is that I can't connect peer to peer to get their file list, even on other hubs. It tries to connect, but always ends with "connection timeout" Help! :(

same here. i can connect to the hub but i can't download anything...booty.

does dc++ only work on windows? i'm trying to figure out how to get it for my mac.

shakespeer
