Dc++

Can someone tell me how to set this up? I hear about this super cool UC Berkeley network that allows one to download a lot of stuff very fast.

have you tried this amazing site named google?

google “berkeley dtella” and download it. also download DC++. install.
on DC++, go to file ->quick connect and paste this address: 127.0.0.1:7314
I think the requirement to share at least 1GB is still there.

turtlecloud, do you live in CKC?

does anyone know if dc++ can be used off-campus?

@ physics: Nope. I dont live at ckc

Is it up yet?

it has been up all summer, you can access dc++ through airbears too.

Also, you guys need to setup dtella. Google Dtella berkeley

Sigh, it’s just not the same without Jupiter…Unless, of course, we can somehow facilitate O_o with an on-campus connection.

is there a workaround to get it on mac

^ haha 2.5 tb wat…

Are you talking about Jupiter or Oo? I think Oo had 3.11TB last night, haha. That was pretty much half of the total DC++ contribution…

Oh geez…That’s so depressing…

hahaha he was at 2.5 last I saw. damn 3.11? it’s mostly blu-ray movies which are like 8 gigs though

Ok. So I got this to work last night and download some stuff. Now, today, I can’t connect for some reason. i keep on getting this error message:

[18:52] *** Connecting to 127.0.0.1:7314…
[18:52] *** No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

Does anyone know why?

Is Windows 7 on DC++ yet?

What about Microsoft Office 08 for Macs?

nevermind, I got it to work you have to run dtella first before using dc++. And there seems to be a copy of windows 7 on there.

lol i saw turtlecloud on the hub last night and i remembered cc…
