I am using Barron's book to study. It seems that the reading is very tedious and uneffective. How do I organize the content and learn the stufff i need quickly? So confused ....anyone helps??

I took AP World this past year. Barrons is definetly verryyy tedious... but i'm not to sure about uneffective. I used both Barrons and PR and, I feel, this was an awesome combination. Barrons gives you all the content and details needed for the exam while PR organizes it well and gives a general overview. Read Barrons and study it carefully, especially if youre not taking the course. Use PR to review and process/organize the info in your brain. If you do this, youll definetly get a 5... like me ;)

Try using Barron's AP World History book, which is excellent. It gives unit overviews, providing well-organized sections that break the events down into general trends and such. Just skip the sections where they talk about essays.

I believe the author was refering to the SAT II WH not the AP WH: a 5 on the SatII WH wouldn't be anything to brag about ;-)

Yes I know, but you can still use the AP World History book as all the information is the same. I did, and I got an 800.

I should also add that the AP World History book is a lot more readable, as the authors don't just list pure facts, one after the other.

Any difference between Barron's AP and SATII books on world history?
