Hey everyone!
In school I did IGCSE's and A Levels. I am unsure how to enter these in the academic information section of the UC Application. Also, how can I send my predicted A Level Grades to the UC's?
Please help me out! I am freaking out, as the deadline is SO close.

Thank you!

The answer was on the right hand side in a column under “Questions?”
I attend a British System college. How should I enter my school?

If you are completing Advanced Level examinations in the British System (United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Singapore, etc.), indicate your last school attended as your high school of graduation, even though your school may be called a college or junior college. We often use the words ‘college’ and ‘university’ interchangeably. College level is the same as university level. College is not upper-level secondary school in the U.S.
I took external exams (e.g., GCSE, IGSCE). How should I list my courses?

For 9th and 11th grades, enter all academic courses completed and internal (school) results. List all subjects as ‘NH’ (not honors).

For 10th grade, enter external exam subject instead of internal school subjects for the following: O-level, GCSE, IGCSE, HKCEE, Indian Standard X exams, Malaysian SPM exams. List all subjects as ‘NH.’

For 12th grade, enter planned external exam subjects for the following: GCE A-Levels, HKALE, Indian Standard XII exams, Malaysian STPM exams. List all subjects as ‘NH.’

A note about subject areas: List grammar, composition and literature courses in the primary language under the English subject area, even if you were not taught in English. Any other courses in a language other than the one used for instruction should be listed under Language Other Than English.
I took external exams (e.g., GCSE, IGSCE). How should I list my grades?

If you took external exams, such as GCSE, IGCSE, HKCEE, Indian Standard X exams, etc., list the grades/marks received exactly as they appear on your certified exam results rather than the mark assigned by your teacher at the end of the course. Enter NC (No Course) in any remaining grade boxes displayed. Use the Additional Comments section to specify which exams you have completed or plan to complete (e.g., ‘Grade 10 marks indicate IGSCE grades’ or ‘Grade 12 subjects are my planned GCE A-level exams’).

Thanks!
But how will I enter subjects such as Economics?

I really need to know this too! Anyone?

Can we enter courses such as economics and business as ‘college prep electives’ ?

Actually, that’s what i ended up doing Jojo…
Then i explained my courses in the ‘additional information’ box…

Yal3Girl: Are you sure we are allowed to do that? These electives are not approved by UC. Can anyone pleaseeeeee help! Pleaseeee!

I’m no expert but when I called UC with questions about filling out the grade 7/8 courses (since I’m in a school with the British curriculum) they mentioned how I should just fill it out the best way I can. They said they have readers who will understand other systems, so if you’re unsure of which category a subject should go in it’s unlikely to be a problem since they’ll know it doesn’t translate well for students abroad.

burndtjamb2000: Allright, I’ll try to do it in the best possible manner. Thanks a ton! :D
