How to get swole

So last month I switched up my weekly schedule and I've found time to hit the gym like 2-3x a week. But I'm Asian so it's hard for me to bulk up and stuff. I find it takes a long time (like 1-2 months) for me to add more lbs to each machine (can't do free weights tho).

How to getting swole faster-er? Thankyah!

I do Crossfit. I used to be very skinny. In addition to Crossfit 5x per week, I’ve started downing protein shakes almost every day. I’ve put on muscle weight and have gotten noticeably more explosive. I recommend it.

Is this actually true :confused:

Why no free weights? Free weights are the best

Pretty sure. Asians eat less, the food isn’t as protein-rich and are genetically leaner after many generations.

@Patton370 too young

Look up “milk and squats.”

damn. I can’t drink whole milk, but I can drink skim milk all day long. I’m one of those weird people who like skim milk better than whole milk.

How old are you? I started lifting free weights at 14 (I’m 17 now but, I didn’t workout at all through 11th grade). Are you allowed to use dumbbells?

I can’t use dumbbells at the gym, but I can buy some. Maybe some 30’s? I got 20’s at home right now.

Depends on how strong you are. I use weights between 35-50 depending on what I’m doing. If you can only buy one set 35s would be good to start out with. You’d need a bench though for some of the stuff I do to get stronger.

Also, I’m NOT supper muscular… I’m primarily a runner. My bench max is only 200 pounds (I weigh 140 though) ((also note that I stopped lifting in 11th grade, didn’t lift for a year, and just started back a few months ago; I would be alot bigger and stronger if I never stopped))
