Workout

Does anyone here bench press? I been active for a couple of months, it really relieves stress.

cooooooooooooooooooooooooool. but not really. i wish i worked out.

ooooooooooooooooooooooookkkkkkkkkkk.

Yeah. Not a fan though. I prefer curls.

i do! yea its great for stress but a little tough on the elbow joints (at least for me). whats your max right now?

Almost 160, you?

I max 190, pushin for that 200. I was a bit disappointed that I wasn't able to get to 200 before I turned 15 though :( which was a couple weeks ago.

You don't know anything about working out do you?

I do all around lifting. I focus mainly on core.

I couldn't work out if it wasn't for a sport though, I find weightlifting terribly boring by itself.

We work out in PE twice a week...not a fan of the bench, myself. I prefer attached weights, b/c for some reason my right arm is a whole lot stronger than my left, which makes benching a precarious situation.

dank, i so agree.

running and weightlifting = BORING

running + weightlifting = really good for your health and also fun.

running is fun just because i really look forward to runners high. weightlifting can get a little boring sometimes, but its still ok. i was maxing out at 195 (so close to the 200 benchmark) during the summer, but i stopped lifting when school started and i just picked it up again so im down to about 175 right now. is it normal to lose that much strength in that time? i know its been a few months, but it still seems like i lose too much strength if i dont lift.

I didn't lift for almost half a year and surprisingly I developed the most bulk in my muscles over that period of time and when I started up again, I was actually stronger and my max was higher. No lifting, nothing. Just lots of sprinting for basketball conditioning.

i did 185 4x yesterday but i only weigh 158.....i'm kinda ****ed i lost 20 pounds this year and about 10 since football started in summer...also i lost a lot in my maxs in about every upper body excersize in the past few months cuz i was lazy in november

I only weight 130 lbs :(

Lifting weights is sooooooooooooooo boring. But I want to start working out.

I lift weights all the time. I have to for shot put, though. Bench press isn't a particular favorite of mine, I think last time I maxed it was only 260. Anyways, I'm a big fan of shoulder press. I can shoulder press 90 lb dumbbells, which is pretty good.

I don't think it's really that boring, especially after about 3-4 weeks after you start. Once you get to that point, you'll notice results and you'll never want to stop. I always was, and still am, an overweight kid. However, once I finished third in my conference in shot put as a sophomore, that whole thing didn't matter anymore. I got there from working out and working hard. The results are tangible if you're willing to work for them.

Lol, he asked if you like to bench, and you responded that you like to curl instead...

They work 2 completely different muscle sets... They're not related at all except that you should be using both and several more exercises for a complete workout, which is why I can tell your knowledge of working out is limited.

^^^Hostile much?
"You like apples? No I prefer oranges"...guess my fruit knowledge is limited too?
He asked if I like to bench...I said no, I prefer the curl. Not seeing what you're trying to get at here?
