How to get to Cal from SF?

So I made a reservation for a tour and then realized I don't really know how to get there...and for some reason the public transportation link on Cal's website isn't working.

I know I should take BART, but what line? And then does that take me directly there, or do I need to take AC transit...or...? Thanks!

Well, if you know how to make it to the BART station, that makes it easy:

1) BART going to Richmond or Pittsburg/Bay Point
1a) If on Pittsburg/Bay Point, get off at 12th Street - Oakland or Macarthur and transfer to Richmond line.
2) Get off at Downtown Berkeley station.

You’ll be two blocks away from West Gate (cross Shattuck (head toward Games of Berkeley) and then Oxford). Depending on where else you might want to go, you’ll be right at the major bus stop/transfer point when you get out of the BART station, and from there you can take the 1, 7 or 51 (and probably others) to get to Telegraph and the south side of campus.

Transit511.org will give you door-to-door directions.

Thank you very much…for some reason, transit.511.org was just not being very helpful…but that cleared it up!
