Don't have a car or anything.. is there some bus that can get there?

Be prepared for a very long trip. I remember having to take BART and buses.
Use Transit.511.org for more details.

really…? argghh. hmm wanna go with some friends lol long as in couple hours?

I think it’s like two hours? I left from the Lake Merritt Bart Station though so I don’t know if it would be that much faster if you left from downtown Berkeley. It’s definitely doable but just takes a lot longer than driving.

dang. i wish i was old enough to rent a car.

18+ can rent a car.

really… how come ive heard 25 was the age … ><

Because 25 is the age at which you are no longer charged a surcharge for renting a car. :P

However, Cal has partnerships with at least 1 car rental company (Hertz for sure, possibly also Enterprise) that waives this fee for students. So… you can rent a car.

turn into a jet and fly. it’s the fastest, most plausible way.

ohh really? dang… where’s the hertz or enterprise?

The Enterprise is right across campus. The Hertz is annoyingly far away (but generally cheaper).

I don’t see anything about Hertz there, but it’s down on San Pablo (use the Hertz site to find it). Make sure to ask before you rent a car – I have special insurance that also grants me a free under-25 fee waiver and when I mentioned it to the Hertz rental place they said Cal students get it waived anyway. But that’s total hearsay.

There are car-sharing options, too, see if those would work.

Enterprise has very good reviews on yelp. It’s on Oxford st

i would take batman’s advice if i were you. its good advice, and has 5 stars on yelp

Rent the car. Then take 80 towards Sac. Can’t miss it.

alright. Maybe ill take a look at the option. How much is renting… lol

~$30-$40/day (for the car alone, no insurance, GPS, etc.).

hmm gg. it would be wise to get an insurance.

The basic insurance is something like $8 or $12/day. I always buy it.

what’s that?
the googly eye thing?
that’s the money you could be saving with Geico.
