How to get to WashU from the Northeast!

I live in New Jersey and I was accepted to WashU and I really would like to go there, but I am going to have trouble getting all my stuff like computers, clothes, etc. out there. Anybody have any tips? ...especially if you go to WashU and are from the northeast?

Wait-- when did you find out you were accepted? Did you apply ED, or did you get recruited for something?

I have a friend at Wash U now, and we asked our tour guide when we were there, and unless you want to drive all the way over there, you should probably ship up your clothes and computer and bedding before you leave. You can buy stuff like room organizers and whiteboards and laundry baskets and whatever else you may need when you get there.

My family rented a mini-van for a week to first take my brother's stuff out to Carnegie Mellon, and then me out to Wash U. It was packed to the brim with a computer, clothes, a fridge (4.2 cu ft), and winter clothing as well (to make the Thanksgiving trip easier). I had a friend who shipped her clothes & computer out, and bought all of her bedding, towels, and toiletry items out here when she arrived.

what about when you leave for winter break and the summer? do you bring all the stuff back home or leave it there in like a storage thing?

For a fee, they have storage space available for the summer for whatever you don't want to bring home. For winter break, you leave everything in your room.
