<p>My senior received a C in an online HS Calc course. The public HS messed up this year's schedule and it was the only way to get Calc. But the online school had a teacher change and a policy change, and it messed up some things for my teen's grade. </p>
<p>My senior has applied to some top 50 schools, as well as some others. How much will this hurt him/her since s/he still received 4 As in the public HS's AP classes 1st semester (has only 1 B on transcript total)? Now do we send in that transcript with a C, or not and make it seem like s/he took only 3 years of math? We are thinking of having him/her write a letter of explanation along with a desire to attend these schools still. </p>
