How to improve the ACT English score?

Hi,
I'm a rising senior and am looking to improve my ACT English Score. In June I scored a 30 on this section without any prep except for one practice test. I would like to score somewhere between 33-34 the next time I take the ACTs, which will likely be in October. I was just wondering if anyone had any tips on how I could improve my score. Thank you.

Just keep taking real practice tests. Get your grammar down solid, because half of the English questions are literally just knowing rules. The rhetorical ones are somewhat objective, but with enough practice you will begin to see what the ACT is looking for. I would also recommend Silverturtle’s SAT grammar guide. It may be for the SAT, but grammar is grammar.
