How to know GRE scores and transcripts are in your file?

I feel like this is a stupid question, but probably one everyone has been dealing with. I've started but not "submitted" my online applications. I went ahead and requested transcripts but am unsure about GRE score reports - I took the test in May and put in four school codes - would that still be on file at these schools or should I assume I need to resend my score reports? How do I know in the end if everything is received/matched to my application... I hate to spend money on score reports if they already have them but I want to be sure everything's in order..

(When I applied to college everything was paper, so it was as easy as putting everything in a big envelope together!)

You find out the way you find out if anything else is in your file: call the schools and ask.

What if the school explicitly states not to call about receipt of the documents? I know Yale GSAS states that.

Would they be ok with you emailing? That might be less disliked since it's not as demanding in terms of having to respond right away. They can take some time to actually look things up -- do it during a lull instead of in the middle of a busy day
