A little over a month ago, my daughter ( high school junior ) visited Northeastern , but didn't go on a tour or register with admissions.
Since her older sister was a student there, we didn't go thru the usual channels for the visit . Instead, we contacted the department she is interested in and were invited for a one on one visit with the department head. He invited her to come back to sit in on a class or two and interact with current students ( very small major )

Without a doubt, Northeastern is her first choice of the three schools she has visited , and she wants to let it be known that she has serious interest. If my memory serves, schools like to know that applicants have been there.

Should we contact admissions or just arrange for a formal tour when she goes there to sit in on classes.

I know that it has become more difficult to get accepted at NEU since her sister was accepted 6 yrs ago, so I think this process is going to be more stressful this time around.

Her intended major is hard to find in the geographical area that she is comfortable with.
