I noticed that my school (LaGuardia High School) sometimes lacks in academics. We are strong, as we're a specialized school, but the emphasis is more put on the arts...The reason why I gave you guys this specific information is because if you look the school up, you'll see the emphasis is more on the arts than academics. I LOVE that, don't get me wrong, but I hate it when people say that LaGuardia isn't as good as school as "normal" schools.

I really want to make my school even stronger. We suffer from a lot of budget cuts, and unfortunately the curriculum also suffers. Any ideas?

By the way, PLEASE do not think I am trying to brag about my school. Sometimes my points come across like I'm saying I'm better than others, but that REALLY isn't the case. I really want to help my school!

Yeah, raising money would be great. We face way too many budget cuts, but then again, what school doesn’t?

It’s a really great school, it’s just that a lot of classes are cut for students, so they don’t do well in other classes. Then again, it might just be lack of motivation…

We also cut a lot of school related ECs, like school dances, because of the issues with budget cuts. A lot of the concerts we have are really expensive and are sometimes handled by the Parents Association because we personally can’t afford it.

Well, these ideas won
t get a lot of money, but I
ll write it here anyhow:

-Bake Sales
-Silent Auction
-Carnival Day

Those are some things my schools does. Since there`s a lot of people who went there that are now in mainstream jobs (Music, theater, etc.) and some famous ones at that, maybe some of them will come back and do an “Alumni Play/Concert” and that might raise a good amount of money.
