So I got a roommate change and 3 days after I move in my roommate arrived. She seems nice and I’ve asked her stuff like where she’s from. What other stuff can I say and how can I become her friend? I’m a little shy but I’d like to make a friend.
I’m just a new freshman myself but so far I’m finding that talking about your interests and finding out what you have in common makes it easier to talk and relate to people! My roomie and I both love video games, for instance 
If you both have an activity you like maybe you can go to some kind of related event together!
Food is always good.
Also ask if she wants to go to dinner/dorm activity/campus activity.
