Hi Anteaters!
Today, my younger sister just moved into her dorm at Mesa Court in UCI, and she asked me for advice on how to make the most of her college experience.
I didn’t attend UCI (I attended another UC), but I personally had a great time in college, and really want my sister to have an unforgettable experience at UCI, and really enjoy her time there. She’s grown up in Irvine all her life though, so I was a bit stumped at how to give her a fresh outlook for college. She was a bit concerned about it being a commuter school and a bit quiet.
What would you all recommend doing both in one’s freshman year, and also across four years, to make UCI absolutely memorable and unforgettable? Anything can help, what do you did socially and for fun, how to make the most of academic and professional opportunities, etc. (my sister is majoring in psych and business, if that’s of any relevance).
