<p>What are some good ways to meet some friends?
I am a sophomore transfer.</p>
<p>As a general principle, if you want to make friends you must first show yourself to be friendly.

<p>That said, it looks to me like Nova creates a lot of opportunities for students to meet each other, both formal and informal. In fact, I think it will be hard not to meet new friends there. I’m a crotchety old dad and even from the brief time I was there I met quite a few people just milling around. Most people there seem to have a naturally friendly disposition so it was pretty easy. I think you just need to move around campus a bit, find a couple of organizations you might like, etc. You will be fine. My experience with the RAs there also suggest they are extremely good resources to help you meet others. Use them - they all want to help you have a successful experience there.</p>
