Hey guys, I'm taking the AP psych exam and it's really coming closer and closer. I thought the exam was a joke, so I basically slacked and didn't really focus on studying. But now I basically need to memorize all of the big, important vocab words and concepts by May 6. How do you guyz memorize vocab words? Especially large quantities? Thanks!

I don’t know if this will work for you, but some of my friends basically split up the word lists into something like 25-50 a day. You first review in the morning (ride to school) and then coming back. Then you go over ALL the words you have done so far in the evening. Any time you make a mistake – write it out a few times, think of silly connections, funny anecdotes that make it more memorable.

For concepts, I find understanding and relating them back to ideas you’re already quite familiar with is a winning strategy.

for SAT, I did vocab flash cards, like 3-5 words per card, and just repetition whenever i had free time

this took like 1 week, so I think for ap psych it would help the same

I find [spaced repetition](<a href=“Spaced repetition - Wikipedia”>Spaced repetition - Wikipedia) much more effective than straight flashcards.

Read the chapter on memory. You should find some interesting ideas there.

Try testing yourself, in different ways too. vocabtest.com is a good website to make different tests. Not trying to advertise but you can try making an account to make different tests and give them to colleagues. Most tests you can make are multiple choice, I don’t know if you can make free for all.
