Though I really want to jump straight into NYU, I’ve realized that my Financial Aid estimate includes too many loans that I’m not too sure I could handle after graduation. My parents can’t contribute to anything at all, so I’m worried about crushing myself in debt. Still, I’m dying to attend NYU so I’d appreciate if any one could tell me how to appeal for some extra aid.

18,490 of your loan aid is in the form of a Parent PLUS Loan. Will your parents take that loan for your education?
So that is around $26600 of debt/year, so about $100k total. Not worth it… I’d recommend withdrawing your ED2 agreement.
It is ridiculous to go into that much debt for an undergraduate school, a cheaper state school (like U of Wisconsin or UCLA) would be a better option.
Was that CAS scholarship merit-based?
