How to not freak out during waiting time?

I’m asking this question because I’m genuinely curious. One of my top schools is supposed to come out this Thursday and the other two come out in the end of January. I’m honestly so worried and I don’t know how to not be during this time. Does anyone have some advice for me and others who might be in the same position?

First off get off of CC. Don’t check your portal multiple times a day. Get some sleep. Do your homework since Michigan is known to defer really good students and you “need” to keep your grades up. Be prepared to send in midterm grades. Get a job.

Hows that for starters? ?.

Honestly, my son just didn’t check often. His attitude was he will know when he knows. He didn’t freak out when everybody was. He couldn’t control the process.

It’s a stressful time if you let it be. Don’t! This is your senior year so have some fun. Remember also, it’s not about you. The schools are building a class. Congratulate the kids that get in EA. Truly be happy for people’s acceptances and they will be happy for yours.

Thank you so much for the advice! I truly appreciate it :))
