How to pick a college? Between RPI and University of Rochester

I have narrowed by college decision to two schools, but I am having a really time picking one. I have based my decision on having a good program (for BME), having a small-medium size, being a research university, and how I feel at the campuses. I am looking at University of Rochester and RPI. Can any of you lead me to a decision? List some of the pros and cons at either college. Also, I am a female, and I don't like to drink, but still plan to have fun, but am focused on doing well in school and getting a job or going to grad school directly after college. Do you know which school has better internship and job opportunities?

I would personally say RPI. Both are great schools, but I feel like RPI is a step up. Its campus is really nice, but it is not in a nice area.

For what aspects would you choose RPI?

Post the price difference, then we can decide.
In short, RPI for engineering, URochester for everything else.

These two are comparable schools. RPI has a 2 to 1 M/F imbalance. Rochester is more removed from the East coast but has a med school. Neither is consider a fun place.

I guess this depends upon your definition. My guy (and his friends) really enjoy Rochester. He doesn’t drink, but has a bit of fun with a Dance troupe, ASL, Improv, and other clubs. There are more things he’d like to do than he has time for - and he still has an awesome GPA (albeit, WITH studying - it’s not a cakewalk school).

For BME, I don’t know which is better. I do know URoc has a bit going for it (in general) with research and medical. I have no clue about RPI.

Price does not matter. Both gave me good scholarships, and are in my price range.

Both are great and have great reputation. I might give slight edge to University of Rochester because its male female ratio is around 50:50 and Forbes and US News ranked it higher than RPI.
Forbes: Rochester #100 RPI #323
USNWR: Rochester #33 RPI #41

Education quality should be same at both.
