How to prepare for classes next year?

Next Semester,
I am taking:
AP Calc BC
AP Physics C
Japanese IV
Computer Science
CapSEEDS (economics/community service)

I already have the books for those classes. Should I start studying them so that I can get a head start and a 4.0 Semester GPA? And how should I approach studying?

My Cumulative is a tad low, 3.7 UW - GC said the rigor of my course load at school is a 4.5/5 with 5 being the most rigorous. I just want to be more competitive in lower-Ivy schools (Cornell, UPenn, Brown, etc.)

Depending on when you start, why not read through the first chapters a few weeks before the beginning of the year? Skim the table of contents (if there is one). I don’t think you need to study too much, but it would be nice to start the year with a little background, right?

Yes, thanks for the advice. That makes sense. This semester would mean so much for me, and it would be great to get ahead of my classmates. Man, I should’ve done this before.

Go outside, enjoy summer, and hang out with your friends. Enjoy your life, don’t make school the only part of it and self-study.

Chill for your summer, but start working on Calc and Physics around August or so.
