How to rid dorm room of spiders?

I woke up this morning with two little bumps on my hand.....could they be spider bites?? I'm terrified of spiders....how do I rid a dorm room of them???

Thanks!!!

It’s hard because if your floor has them, your room will have them.
Empty your trash regularly, don’t leave food or open containers lying around buy sprays, etc.

My SIL swears by those electronic pest repellants. She uses them for her Nana, who is allergic to the sprays. If the whole floor has them it might not get rid of them all, but it should help.

Try not to freak out! It probably isn’t spiders. Could be mosquito bites. Hopefully not bed bugs.

Your injuries are very indicative of a severe spider infestation. They could be all over the place, in the dark parts of your room. You might need to get your dorm fumigated.

Talk to your school about that. Who ever is in charge of that type of stuff.

Two little bumps close together might be bed bug bites. If your bed has any wood, check the wood for cracks and crevices.

Does your roommate have any bug bites? You may have been bitten by something outside the day before and not noticed it until your body reacted to it.

I wouldn’t be too worried about small bumps here and there. Although speaking from experience, I was bit last year in my own home and have a huge scar from a spider bite that was very deep into my leg. It was as deep as maybe half a quarter of an inch into my leg. I’d say do some research about the spiders in the area. I know I have bug bites popping up on my skin from time to time, but they disappear within a day usually. After that incident at home I sprayed around the corners of the room and haven’t really had any problems since.

I live in an apartment complex now where they spray regularly, so I’m not too concerned about the bugs that are apparently living with me now.
