How to Rock GPA

Hey guys, I was just wondering about the way to do great in college. The freshman GPA is especially important for me, because I’m considering to transfer as a sophomore in next year. But I heard that college courses are far different and far rigorous that those in high school? Is there anyone who can spare some advice or tips regarding how to maintain my freshman GPA?

Do your courses matter that much? I guess what I’m saying is, if GPA is the end-all, be-all, avoid any and all weed-out classes your first year. Obviously that’ll be hard if you’re transferring to do pre-med or any other pre-professional track, but if you can avoid them, that’d certainly help out your GPA.

Sorry that this isn’t like a study tip or anything, just figured it was an important thing for you to keep in mind.

Start early. Go into your courses with a cursory familiarity of the subject.
