How to Schedule my SAT studing during the school year????

Okay so I have the princeton review's cracking the SAT 2011 edition and am planning on getting the College board book. But my question is, how should I schedule my studying? Do i just go through the princeton review book, section by section, and take the BB practice tests after each section? I'm interested to know what you guys did to study using cracking the sat and the BB.

p.s. i'm aiming for a 2105 and i'm planning to take the SAT's in spring. I could really use some help.

2105?

Just take practice tests whenever you can I suppose.

how’s that gonna help? how should i use the book is what i’m asking. should i go section by section? or should i skip around

You don’t need to read the PR book. Read Silverturtle’s guide, buy Direct Hits (and memorize the words) and take practice tests. I’d take a diagnostic, then read the guide and DH, then just keep taking practice tests. Review the tests when you finish. That’s it. Just practice with BB…nothing else.

okay before i consider giving up PR, i need to here of success stories that have come from using silverturtle’s guide. I mean the PR looks pretty good, but if there is something better, i’ll use it.

I read PR when I first started and it does give you a couple nice tips for the math section and writing section but it really is not that much help. Silverturtle’s guide is much better and nothing is as valuable as taking practice tests and reviewing them meticulously.

op: through away your cracking the Sat and blue book. and go fishing!!! because no matter how hard you try you, collegeboard will never give you a 2105 in the SAT. :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :p

OP, you want success stories… well none of us can give you that b/c there hasn’t been am SAT since ST released his guide. However, ST did receive a 2400. Also, if you look around this site, the majority of the people there only used Blue Book and Direct Hits.

Fail at trying to look smarter than him. Look at how you spelled throw*

well i’ve figured out what i’m gonna do. I’ll buy the BB and direct hits sometime during december and start reviewing for the june 6 test. Hopefully then i’ll get my 2105 :). or should i just wait until basketball season ends (march) to start studying. This will give me 3 months, which should be more than enough. And while waiting for march i could use that time to learn direct hits.

The joke tpain was making before was that you can’t get a 2105. Scores go by 10.
