Last year, when I was a sophmore, I scored a 22 ACT. Everyone, including my private tutor, told me I could only go up a bit. On the December ACT I scored a 27, but now it feels like I might not be able to go higher. How do you score even higher than a 27? I used almost every prep book there is and am afraid I am out of prep books to use.

There’s lot of resources on the Internet. Sometimes a simple Google search will do wonders.

Take practice tests again after you kind of forget about them, and figure out what you continously get wrong and learn from your mistakes.

Read more, learn more grammar rules, think more ( chess), and get more sleep. :D

umm if you burned through all the prep books and still got a 27, i think your capped out. cause my friend took the acts without studying and get a 33, and then he reviewed for like a week before and got 36. maybe try the sats

sat may be a better choice for you

If the problem is on speed, you may be able to improve few. However, if the problem is on knowledge, it is possible to improve more if you study harder.

I’m never going to take SAT’s. The problem isn’t with speed, it’s just that all the prep books go through the basics, and once you are done with that, there isn’t much to know about. But I have learned more that I didn’t know, such as some more trig and such. Any more suggestions?

Practice… practice… practice. That’s all you can do. Those strategy books and such are all basically the same. Some of the strategies may be good, but you won’t all of a sudden score much higher unless you PRACTICE. Find as many practice exams as you can and do them…
