I got accepted into the program for the class of 2022, but after a couple months I decided I don’t want to do EECS anymore and not even engineering as a matter of fact. Is it possible to switch out of EECS and the College of Engineering entirely?
Depends on your destination. What majors are you interested in?
Find which division your desired majors are in. Then find out the procedure for changing to that division:

https://ls.berkeley.edu/advising/academic-progress/changing-status/change-college-ls
https://chemistry.berkeley.edu/ugrad/current-students/change-of-college

Note: some majors may have higher standards than their divisions. For example, the majors in economics, statistics, psychology, and some other popular subjects have higher grade/GPA requirements than the L&S division that they are in.
Yes, it’s possible and common to switch out of EECS and COE. Most people are trying to switch the other way. Consider carefully, as Berkeley EECS is one of the most coveted degrees ;). My roommate actually switched out of EECS our first semester to CS and I don’t think she regrets it.
