I have been reading on this forum for a while. But one thing that I read in an ACT book that I have never heard before pertained to watches. The advice given was to, on each section of a test, set your watch to noon. That way when you look at your watch you will say, “It’s 12:09 so i should be on my second reading passage.” Instead of "Ok, the section started at 8:37 and it is 8:46, so 9 minutes have passed and i should be on my second passage. This is essential to keep a good pace, and I hope some of you learned this.
That is very good advice.
That’s what my daughter has been doing.
it’s good advice. also, if your watch has a stopwatch function that doesn’t make noise, it would serve the same purpose to use that instead of resetting your watch time every section. watches in general are bae though.
this is what I did. It’s great
“watches in general are bae though”
