I am early graduate (graduated last year, age 16). I took 4 APs in my senior year. Are these considered tough APs considering that in my gap year now, im taking Calc BC online, Physics C (both parts) independent study, and Macro & Micro online.

My scores:
Physics B (independent): 5
Calc, Stats, English Lit (taken in school): 4s

How tough was my senior year APs? Are they comparable to say AP World History or Psych? How about the ones I'm taking in my gap year?

but thats weird because it differs from school to school..i know at my school AP art history is a piece of cake...the teacher doesnt even take roll so you dont have to show up half the time!! Then at other schools i hear its like an hour of hw a night and stuff

Yes, the languages are the hardest (French Lang, Spainish Lang, French Lit, Spainish Lit).
Chemistry is another tough one.
callthecops2, I don't think the AP's you took are comparable to World History-- because World History is a piece of cake.

I also don't think that schools really care that much about the scores. They just want to see that you took lots of AP classes. The score only matters when you are trying to get credit of move into a harder class.

My AP Calc class is pretty hard. She gives us basic problems for our HW and classwork, and then on the test she throws difficult, hair-splitting examples.

For anyone considering the French or Spanish APs, you should do a Rassias Immersion in the langague before. they are amazing programs. I know they are doing some in March at Greenwich Academy in Greenwich CT but you can find out about others at the webiste, I think. www.rassiasgroup.com

What does everyone think are the 5 hardest APs- from what you have taken and what you have heard?
Id go with
1. AP Physics C E&M
2. AP Calc BC
3. AP Spanish
4. there has to be something else harder than chem but i cant think of it
5. AP Chem

Latin is brutal, because there is no progression because it is not spoken. I took latin and all I can say is that it is harder than spanish and french. It requires perfect grammar and learning thousands of words. The translations are already written, 2000 years ago, so the books cant be written for different levels.
The easiest AP's, list those two
I think it matters how well you can memorize. History is mostly memorization, and I read an article that said that english is becoming a lot easier, and colleges are starting to accept only 5's.
