How tough is engineering at Ohio State University?

I got in Ohio State recently for the spring session. I really wanted to know how tough is engineering at OSU. Well it is one of the top rated schools in USA for this major. But will an average student be able to handle the pressure??

I’m in it now, it’s all about the amount of work you put in. Some people get by only attending lectures and doing good on the quizzes, others have to put in serious study hours. To answer your question, anyone can do engineering, if they are willing to study/work for it.

How hard is say a 3.2(the major gpa for Cse) to attain? I’m from a community college where the norm is to retake calculus 1 so I spend a few hours in the tutoring center for each math assignment. Other classes are not so hard. My question is, how tough would it be to enter the program?

Not easy, not impossible. It looks like you already have good habits like using tutoring centers, we have a lot of that kind of stuff that a lot of people are too lazy to take advantage of.

You could put in solid effort, get B’s in the harder classes, get A’s in gen eds, and you should be fine. Just try really hard to get that GPA your first or second semester, because then all you need is a 2.5 to stay in.
