How was everyones SSAT today?

Any major effups? Any major excitement due the fact you're fairly certain you aced it?

I'm in between... I kicked A$$ on the reading... feels like a kicked butt on the math (never know how many traps I may have fallen for), and the verbal was fine - I didn't get perfect, I know that, but I did very well.

Also, question: if I'm not happy with my scores for this month, how do I pull of a January registration? I don't get the scores until late-ish December, and the registration deadline is like the 19th or something, so how can I manage?

I took it today at Bangor, ME!! Anybody here took it there??
I'm positive I aced math section.
did OK on reading. there were four or five questions I was unsure.
BUT verbal went terribly.. hoping that the admission office will consider the fact that I'm an international student
I think we will get the score report on 26th. If you are uncertain about your performance today, I would highly suggest that you register for January too.. just for the sake of safety, because Jan will be your last chance if you don't wanna apply as late applicant

I'm positive I close to perfect if not perfect on reading...The ones I answer on Math seemed pretty easy. But I ommitted 5 questions on each math section...will that mess me up?

I studies so hard for verbal so I could imrpove that score...ended up not doing great like I wanted.

I think I did okay. Math was pretty good, I had a few questions I'm not sure about though.

Reading was my second best, just a little trouble with a question or two.

Verbal was terrible. There was so much I think I did bad on.

On Math it depends. Out of the 10 questions from the Math section you omitted, could you eliminate any of the 5 choices at all? They could have really hurt you if you could have eliminated 1 or 2 from each.
WARNING: The math section produces "clustered" scores. You omitted 10 total, that might put you in the 70-80%. Your percentage will be alot lower than your composite score most likely. You might have a 750 scaled score in the math section, and that will give you a much lower percentage than a 750 on the Verbal section.

Yeah dude I dunno why, but I'm 99% sure I aced my reading! I was done with like 15 minutes to spare, so I went over each answer and entry like 2 or 3 times, and no err! So, you never know... but this is definitely better than the other alternative.

I DID see someone! He was at Andover when I saw him! He was a weird kid... thats why I remembered him. And I live in Toronto, Canada, so that's why it was so hilarious!

Anyways... good luck to everyone!

Ya Im fine with 80% in math if I could pull that off...cuz thats a 750 and then 800 in math...but then idk about how I did verbal. that section just messed me up

Verbal is the only section on the SAT/SSAT/PSAT/ACT/EVERYTHING that you can come out of thinking, "Wow, perfection" or "Dear God, why did I take that section?". The same person may say those two very different things. Some people got lucky and really thought that every word they were asked was either a word with a latin root or something they had studied.(I used a little tally on my hand to keep track of that... I wouldn't have remembered unless I did that and then copied it down at home... It really helped me when I looked back on the sections... I couldn't remember that information when I got my scores back without doing that).

I got lucky on a couple easy latin roots popping up. No words I studied came up..so w.e

Also, if we take the Jan. 10 ssat, will the schools receive it before the deadline? Or does it even matter...aslong as you take it before Jan 15.

hi..i was supposed to take the SSAT's today, but it got cancelled(luckily)..i have the same problem..i'm pretty confident with my math, feel ok with reading, but i'm really worried about vocab.

will memorizing latin and greek root words help?

bleh. 2008's january ssat was sooooo much easier with verbal. other than a few questions in that one, the others were pretty dayum easy :D

I did all the math, and to be honest I have no idea how good I did. I think I got them all right, but I for some reason didn't feel very confident.
On the practice test I got 800 on the verbal, but I omitted one, and I guessed on a few, so I don't really know how good I did, but decent at least I hope.
Reading was easy. I was pleasantly surprised with the how easy the poem was compared to my practice poems.
And the writing was manageable, although I'm not quite sure I got my point across, but hey...

Ya my poem was easy as hell...just about some girls talking about how her boyfriend is looking at to many people in class.

did we all get the same test form?
my poem is similar to yours..

did any one take it at fessy???

hey the ssat was pretty simple
I couldn't do one of the math problems but aced the math
the reading was ridiculously easy, and the verbal....
was ABSOLUTELY F****** HARD
jkjk but it was dang nab irritating

Wait, we're talking about the upper level right?

Ya. Math was easy but I took to much time and ommited to many. Im guessing Ill be from 85%-90% overall..
