<p>How was your first day of classes? Did you learn anything?

<p>i have no classes on thursday so technically my first day is tomorrow</p>
<p>i have one class today but it was cancelled because its a quiz day. (Math 31B) so u could say it was a smooth day :)</p>
<p>I had Communications 101, and already I have discovered myself behind... So now I'm reading to catch up... Also since the only reading in the class is case files from the US Supreme Court, I find the majority of my time going towards trying to understand what it is I'm reading...</p>
<p>At this very moment, I'm missing Community College.</p>
<p>Some drama with the book not being ordered for my Latin section, but my Chicano/a Studies 10A lecture made up for the frustration. That class is going to make for an interesting quarter...</p>
<p>allena- Comm 101 is supposed to be hardcore. At our department meeting one of the administrators advised us to "take that one during the summer because its easier that way". I'm not sure how or why it's easier in the summer (other than it being 6 weeks), but when one of the department heads says that, you know it's gotta be a fairly tough class. much luck. </p>
<p>My first day is tomorrow, but my schedule is kind of lax right now so I'm not expecting any catastrophes. Of course, I could be completely misjudging things and end up being screwed, but oh well. We shall see.</p>
<p>My English Comp. 100W sounds very boring plus it doesn't interest me as much. I'm considering dropping the class and taking it in the winter quarter, but I want to know who the teacher is.</p>
<p>Public Policy 10A was alright...I think it'll get better in the future.</p>
<p>my first real school day at ucla! i had trouble with math 31B but otherwise im just glad all my teachers can speak clear english :)</p>
<p>i was late to my english class...there's no way to get from de neve to public policy in just 15 minutes! haha what the hell am i supposed to do...i tried to run but hot damn bruin walk is a mess.</p>
<p>yea all of those people who try to give out fliers and people who try to get you to donate money get really annoying</p>
