My proctor was reading a stack of magazines and never looked up.

People were going back and ahead...it was the best scenario possible.

My desk was large and very comfortable. The A/C was pumping out fresh cool air, and the proctor simply did not care. She looked very tired and unmotivated. She looked like she was just trying to finish things up and leave.

Someones cell-phone rang, and the proctor didn't care. All she did was say "turn it off".

Sweet and short, the test room was quiet, the proctor usually offered us a couple extra minutes and did not cut short of time early, it was very easy to cheat, and overall the test was easy compared to March's test.

My room was awesome until this one chick started with the, "this is sooooooo easy, the AP tests were waaaaay harder, I can't believe I was sweating over this" in this loud annoying voice. How tacky could you be? I can't stand braggers. I'm praying she gets below a 1700. That would be truly awesome.
Also, the proctor knocked the clock off the wall and broke it. Nightmare.

We only had 7 people overall writing SAT I + SAT IIs.. So ppl writing reasoning and subject were in the same room. I feel bad for the person who was writing her subject tests because we'd constantly stop in the middle for breaks and proctor kept talking etc while she was writing her test.

SparklingJuice, where are you from? I'm just curious about the phrase "writing tests," I never hear that.

dfsmin54, that's like what I have been dreaming about for the last week, lol! I am glad to know such a test taking center exists (and somewhat scared of how that may screw me over on the curve if there are too many...but it looks like there are more people who were screwed over in this thread than aided).

I think my testing experience was quite ideal. However, I thought it was going to be a poor testing experience because we started nearly an hour late and I arrived to the testing center at 7:30, but the kids in the room were all amiable as was the proctor. To be perfectly honest, I was probably the one "obnoxious" person in the room. I start conversations whenever I take a test to help get rid of the nervs lol I always get the feeling like it ticks off a few people.

Our proctor handled really well the late arrival of tests and test-takers, and he was the perfect balance of not being too laid back but not being too strict. It really unnerves me when the proctor is constantly looking at your answer sheet, it makes me feel like I ought to be covering up something (and more importantly, it's distracting). But this guy was perfect: walked around a few times, gave reminders about appropriate calculators, politely asked that food be taken outside, etc.

Overall, I felt like the test was being administered fairly, and most importantly, I felt comfortable.

it was hot...so my palms were kinda sweating.

oh and some students were complaining how the stupid proctor stopped us before time was up. like yelling 'stop' when we still had 1-2 minutes left. you don't know how important that one minute is! that's like another question!

well but then i had no clue b/c...i don't even own a watch. LOL.
