So I got admitted to Syracuse University. I have been reading through Syracuse’s reviews from current or past students. A lot of them said the school is a party school and has a lot of preppy students. I will visit Syracuse sometimes around mid April and I will attend a info session tomorrow. I applied Syracuse because their e-mail sent to me about iSchool is very attractive and the school is beautiful. I don’t know what to expect really. I am a NJ residents and I have to pick between Syracuse or Rutgers. I never been to a “party” in High School where you get drunk, etc. I’m not that outgoing, kinda shy, but once I get to know someone, they all say I’m funny and fun to be with. I guess I just have a hard time taking the first step. I have friends, but not that many. I love sports especially basketball. I’m Chinese, not so preppy, but I do dress nicely most of the time and preppy occasionally. So anyone with any similar circumstances like me know how well I will fit at Syracuse?

We are not Chinese. My daughter is a junior at SU and picked Cuse because of its diversity. She loves it and could not see herself anywhere else. Cuse also has a large international population, 13%. There are a lot of parties but many students do not attend as there is always something else to do. You definitely can find your place and group of friends at Cuse. You have two great choices.
