Syracuse???

Hi there! Syracuse University is currently one of my "at" schools and I really fell for it when I visited. I am a senior who is planning to apply this year. I am currently tenth in my class of 175 and have a 3.7 unweighted GPA I have taken 6 AP classes and the rest have been honors. 4 years of english, math, lab sciences and language. I am also a varsity swimmer and varsity marching band member. I hold/have held leadership positions in NHS, Tri-M, Marching Band, French Club, Book Club, Tennis, student government and am a black belt karate student of 13 years. Plus MANY more extracurricular activities. I also partake in community service organizations including one I am in charge of for autistic children. I got a 2,110 on my SATs (ew) and am retesting this October for the last time. What are my chances?? Also, what is your opinion on Syracuse I want to know if it really the right place. How is the city, is there enough to do etcetc

syracuse is a medium-size city. the university is situated just above downtown on a slight hillside. There was a lot of building going on when I was there 7 years ago. It’s an open campus, lots of long sight lines, not a sense of built-in and filled-in. The buildings are not exceptionally tall the way many urban schools can be (Pitt, BU). You’re probably an academic safety for Syracuse. Run the net price calculators and talk to your parents about their contribution. You’d be in the upper half of your class going in. Great sports programs there, of course, and lots to do surrounding men’s b-ball in particular. But it’s west central NY state and winter comes in and stays for awhile. I liked it, but the money wasn’t right for our family.

Syracuse is the #1 party school, go there
