How did I get admitted to UIUC CS program

31 ACT

Because next to your name is a promise of almost a quarter million in tuition and fees.

Computer Science at UIUC is in the college of engineering. Their average GPA for that study is 3.8. There must be other factors such as what clubs you participated or what achievements you have accomplished to be chosen. Also your essay might have made the cut to be accepted.
Honestly, you’re in the same place as me. 3.39 UW/4.02 W, 31 act, and I got into their cs+x program but that’s in las which I heard is a little easier.

I was accepted into the college of LAS with a 24 ACT and a 3.5 GPA. But I had A LOT of EC. Spanish club, Rotary, # sports, and 2 jobs. Plus, I got sick and missed most of my first semester senior year, so in my essay I wrote about my illness and how I worked on everything by myself in the hospital for 3 weeks and finished in time to take finals. It also depends on what major you applied for. getting into the school of engineering is a lot harder than DGS.
