first time 1870 to 4th time 2200+

what would they think?

first time 1870 to 4th time 2200+

what would they think?

ive been to college info sessions where they said that taking it twice is ok, 3 times is iffy, but any more than 3...they'd rather see you doing something else that would be more constructive with your time rather than taking the SAT

I agree with Strawberry - from what I hear in the books and info from the admissions officers, they say not to stress over SATs, meaning don't spend too much time and energy on perfecting your score, because it suggests that you care too much about the number than the whole learning experience.

However, a 2200+ is impressive, so I doubt that it would hurt you much at all, depending on the school (do they have a high SAT mid 50% range?).

i got 2090 in june, and i needed a good score for ivies/ top college schools so i had to retake.

btw what would they think if i retook a 2200 for a 2300? (5th time)

I would strongly recommend against taking it a 5th time. If you really think you can do better (which is definitely a good and helpful thing), try the ACT. They'll never know how many times you've taken it and you can just send in the best. As of now, they're going to see you progress from the first time, to the second, to the third, to the fourth. That fourth score will look good, but I don't think it'll look good if Collegeboard ends up being unable to fit all of your scores on one report. :D

bump...... i am boycotting the ACT

DON'T retake for a 2300. Seriously. Don't.
1) Anywhere but CC, 2200 is an amazing score.
2) 5 times is WAY too many times.

^^ I agree with nose.
