How will dropping a class in high school affect college admissions?

Hi everyone! So I’m currently a junior in high school and I find that I’m failing my college prep algebra 2 class. I have A’s in every other class I’m in, I just seem to have problems with math. Im wondering if it would be better for me to stick it through and just see if I can’t get my grade 4 points higher to pass, even though I’m unsure that I could maintain it. If I dropped the class and took a general algebra 2 senior year I might have better luck with it. But how would that affect college admissions? I want to do a journalism major with a French minor or the reverse of that. Any advice is helpful. Thank you!

If you’re in danger of failing at this late date then I would drop and try again next year (or over the summer when you can devote full attention to it).
