Does failing a class decrease your chances of getting into a college? I failed algebra 2 this year, but that is because I moved to a new place and started school a whole quarter late! I am retaking it next year (my senior year) and planning on definitely passing it.
Yes, failing a class will decrease your chances of getting into college.
Yes, unfortunately it does, and for some colleges, you no longer are able to be in the running.
Unles…can you make it up at community college, and then go on to precalc senior year? You will still have the fail, but making it up during the summer ( cam maybe be done online too) will do a lot to help your credibility. I think you must go talk with your school counselor to discuss your options. Alos, when the time comes, be sure your counselor mentions that you moved schools whihc contributed to your failing grade. Good luck.
Depends on what schools you’re looking at
^^^ Exactly.
The guidance counselors at your high school should be able to tell you where students with grades like yours have been accepted to college.
