How Will Senior Year Mid-Year Reports Affect my Admission?

So, throughout high school I have taken multiple AP/honors classes, done tons of extracurriculars and community service, and I have pretty high SAT/ACT test scores. For senior year I’m taking 3 APs, and it look like I’ll be getting a C in one of them, and most likely As in the rest of my classes for my FIRST semester. I’m fairly positive for second semester there will be no more Cs.

I know I have to send a mid-year report to USC, it being a private school and all, but I’m not sure if the UCs will look at my senior grades other than to check if I have Ds/Fs. So is this C going to seriously affect my chances of getting into USC and the most competitive UCs?

As far as I’ve heard, as long as it’s only one C and a good chunk of A’s, the C won’t hurt you that bad, especially if it’s a weighted class. D or F is danger territory.
