How will taking the Chinese SAT subject test help in college application?

I'm not sure if taking it will help.

1) are you a native Mandarin speaker? If yes, then it’s meaningless. If not, it could be a great boost if you score well.

(e.g. the avg score of the Korean SAT Subj test is about 780 since it’s mostly taken by Koreans who falsely think this is an accomplishment versus being a naked grab at a high but worthless score)

2) does the college require any SAT Subj tests? If no, then it’s likely meaningless

It’s not worthless, T26E4. It demonstrates language mastery for a student who is bi-lingual and may not have taken the ‘recommended’ number of years of a foreign language in school. Also, a number of schools require either a 5 on the AP exam or a 650 (or more) on the SATII in a language to skip language distribution requirements.

English is my flesh language and Chinese is my second

Thnx M’s Mom: i amend my previous “declaration”. Best of luck to you whitepoet!
