How will you know if your course credits are being transferred?

I know from assist.org that course credits earned from a community college can be transferred to UCs, but exactly how does it work?

I don’t understand what you’re asking. If you’re admitted to a school, they evaluate your transfer credits by seeing if they have the equivalent at their own school. Many have websites where you can see in advance which of your courses will transfer. Some places will only accept so many credits (usually up to 60).

how exactly do they evaluate your transfer credits? That’s what I’m trying to ask.

From what I understand, they look at the courses you took at your first school and see if they match up with any of their courses. They compare course descriptions I believe. If you’ve already been accepted somewhere, you can call and ask them about classes if you have some questions about what they did or didn’t accept.
